On-campus time
As the MBA Renewables is a distance learning programme, the whole programme can be studied online. However, we highly recommend the practical training module ‘Advanced Practical RE and EE Implementation’ on campus in Berlin at RENAC. The seminar offers practical experiences covering various renewable energy technologies as well as energy efficiency issues, especially current issues for the respective technologies. The focus of the on-campus time is on practical issues, including exposure visits, i.e. field trips. In this way, the students have the chance to deepen their knowledge gained in the module ‘Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Systems and Concepts’ by hands-on training in the RENAC Training Center, theory lessons, field trips and group work. Besides the training aspect, the on-campus module allows students to get to know fellow students, lecturers and the organising team from Beuth University and RENAC personally, as well as to network.
What?
- Biogas – theory, field trip

Why?
At the end of the 2 weeks students will have:
- gained advanced theoretical knowledge on current issues on renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency
- gained practical experience with RENAC´s training equipment for photovoltaics, solar thermal, wind energy and energy efficiency
- learned the basics of project calculation and financing (deepened in module M06)
- learned about state-of-the-art technology development by visiting a solar PV company as well as solar, wind and biogas systems in operation on field trips
- had the opportunity to exchange experience with operators of RE systems and staff from RE companies
- built a great network with fellow students from all over the world!
