Prof. Dipl.-Phys. Juergen Wittmann


CURRENT POSITION

From 2011 Jürgen Wittmann has been Professor for Quality Management and Micro Systems Technology at Beuth University for Applied Sciences.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Juergen Wittmann has worked more than 15 years in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industry. From 1995 to 2002 he worked in the production, technology development and quality management of logic and memory devices in Munich, Germany and East Fishkill, USA.
After that he was Head of Infineon Technologies’ Silicon Substrates Group (2003-2007).

Later he was heading the Qimonda Product Qualification Group as well as the Quality Management of Qimonda Business Unit Personal Systems (2007-2009). The focus of this task was to deal with worldwide Qimonda production sites (USA, EU, Asia) on the one side and a worldwide customer base on the other side (mainly USA, Japan). He closed his industrial career as Head of Quality Management and HSE of a equipment maker of the photovoltaics industry.

EDUCATION

Juergen Wittmann holds a Diploma in Physics from the University of Regensburg (German)

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

5 years as academic assistant in the department for operations management and -controlling of the TU-Berlin

1 year head of production in a chemical company

2,5 years as consultant for process management in international projects (IDS-Scheer AG)

3 years as employer of the central IT of the Schering AG (national and international projects)

Occasional projects as lead auditor in the automotive industry
